Well, we finally have been asked the BIG question...and despite being a nurse I am sure I am having the same internal reaction as everyone else that has faced this for the first time. I'm nervous!
I want to be able to tell my 8 year old son in exactly the right way.
As a nurse I have always used the correct medical terminology for anything regarding the body and my kids have learned and picked up on it in their own language. So I am pretty sure that "the talk" will continue in that manner. But I'm still nervous!
I can't believe this day had finally come....
